Invoices and promissory notes for E.N. Stevens & Co., apparently a hardware store in Farmington, Maine. The invoices are from other stores, mostly in Augusta and Boston, and show the purchase of a wide range of hardware items and tools: manure forks, nails, basting spoons, chains, hatchets, powder flasks, hooks, rasps, springs, bolts, shovels, cow bells, cauldrons, locks, trowels, etc. The promissory notes are mostly to the Sandy River Bank of Farmington but also to various suppliers. The invoices are dated 1851-1852; the promissory notes 1856-1859.
